From the President's Desk:
Indiana is the midst another cold and snowy winter. School administrators around the state are working to make wise choices regarding school closures and delays. We have had some communication from parents regarding notification of school closures or delays so I wanted to remind everyone of our decision and notification procedures. The Options' administrative team makes a decision the evening prior to or the morning of a school day to close or delay school. If the decision is made the morning of a school day, we try to have decision made and posted no later than 5:30am. When the decision is made we use a phone tree to notify staff, contact several news outlets (channels 6, 8, 13, and 59), and post the decision on the Options Facebook page. Parents and students can check any of these options to get the latest updates. There are special notification procedures we can put into place for parents who cannot access one of the options listed above. If you are interested in this option please contact your school administrator.
