Christina Riley, Options-Carmel School Counselor and two students visited with Senator Delph on Monday, Jan. 25 in celebration of School Choice Week.
Ball State University Office of Charter Schools has renewed our charter for an additional 5 years. Charter schools operate under a charter, or contract, with an authorizer and those contracts have to be renewed on a regular basis. During a renewal year, the authorizer does an evaluation of all the components of the school to ensure integrity and success for students. Once the evaluation has been completed, the authorizer will decide to either close the school, renew the charter for one year with conditions for improvement, renew the charter for 3 years, or renew the charter for 5 years. We are proud to announce that we have received the highest recognition available with a 5-year renewal. This is a huge testament to the great work our teachers and staff are doing and the hard work all of our students and parents are putting in to make this school a success! Way to go Options-Carmel!
