Spring testing season is upon us. On Monday, April 13th students will begin their NWEA testing. It will continue through Tuesday, April 21st with the exception of Wednesday, April 15th which will be a normal Wednesday schedule. The instructional day will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Classes will be 45 minutes long. Lunch will be from 11:45 to 12:30 p.m. Testing will begin at 12:30 p.m. The testing schedule is attached for your review. No classroom instruction will occur in the afternoon; however, if your student is not passing all of his/her classes, he/she will be expected to stay in the afternoons to work on past due assignments or PLATO classes, and to get extra help from teachers.
Students will be tested in their advising groups on two afternoons, in the areas of reading, language arts and math. Spring, 2015 testing scores will be compared to Fall, 2014 testing scores to determine how much they have improved in the three skill areas tested over the course of this school year. These results will be reported to our authorizer, Ball State University.
Please feel free to contact me if you wish to know the results of the NWEA assessments
